An evening by the coast

A lone tractor waiting to tow the boat across the beach
After a long week working on the straw bale house the five of us cramned into Julian and Debbie’s moss covered, excitingly temperamental car and headed towards the evening sun. They took us west towards a hidden cove occupied only by a few fishermen and a single pub.

We sat, slightly huddled in the brisk evening air on a picnic bench over-looking the water. Tired minds and bodies but the conversation was full of laughter and enjoyment as we drank a well earned pint whilst the sun slowly sank below the horizon.

Living on site comes with it’s difficulties, especially as the winter sets in but the experience we have meeting new people and exploring new places far outweighs this.
